MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Viewers of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources EagleCam were heartbroken over the weekend as they watched strong winds from a severe weather system whip a nest holding a newly hatched eaglet out of a tree. The nature livestream captured the moment the nest fell Sunday morning. A mother eagle crouched in the snow-filled nest as it swayed precariously in the wind. A branch snapped, and the nest collapsed as the mother flew backward. The young eagle was later found dead on the ground, the department said in a statement.“I was actually crying,” said Denise Chung, who said she and her kids watched the nest fall in real time. She told The Associated Press it hit her particularly hard because she knew the eagle lost its baby. “I don’t know if it would have hit me so hard if I weren’t a mom.”The nest weighed over 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms) and was over 20 years old, the statement said. Judge Juan Merchan has ruled that TV cameras won’t be allowed in the courtroom. Trump, who was impeached twice by the U.S. House but was never convicted in the U.S. Senate, will become the first former president to face criminal charges. The nation’s 45th commander in chief will be escorted from Trump Tower to the courthouse by the Secret Service and may have his mug shot taken.Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina said Tuesday that Trump wouldn...Off the Beaten Path: River Rocks Jewelry and Bead Shop

St. Louis weather from Meteorologist Angela Hutti:ST. LOUIS - An interesting set-up in the atmosphere for Tuesday as we track two time frames for storms. Expect a partly to mostly cloudy day Tuesday, breezy, and very warm. Temperature highs will be in the low 80s. Late Tuesday afternoon, widely scattered thunderstorms are possible, primarily just north of the St. Louis region in northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois. However, a layer of very warm air higher up in the atmosphere may keep these storms from forming at all. If these storms can break that cap, the threat for them to become severe is high, with the potential for large hail and tornadoes. Then Tuesday night, a cold front pushes in from the west. Out ahead of it, we are windy and warm, gusts Tuesday night are set to be up to 40 miles per hour. Temps hold in the 70s all night.
